Phnom Penh: On June 1, 2022, Hong Leng Hour Express joined the humanitarian organization with Sea Star. Starfish is an award-winning Cambodian foundation with over 15 years of experience in using sports education and community development projects to lift vulnerable children and families out of poverty in Cambodia. Today, Starfish is working with more than 700 students through educational programs, providing them with access to accelerated education through elementary school, secondary school, higher education and even employment. Poor children in Phnom Penh who have never been to school have the opportunity to study in the national curriculum, which requires them to take two classes in the same year until they can attend classes that are appropriate for their age as well as school. All students receive sponsorship of school uniforms, study materials and monthly food packages for the whole family while they are studying at school. In addition, students also receive job counseling and other support to help them achieve a stable job.
